February 26 We selebrate a breakthrough in the Northern part of Leningrad region!!! Jon Teigan, director of Si-REISER, a Christian Tourist company from Norway, has agreed to help with a purchase of a nesessary for a Rehabilitation Center building! Now we hope that in a month we can have a sixth Center in Leningrad region set up and working. ------------------------------------ February 25 Several web buttons are now available, that you can place on your web site and help us spread the word about our ministry. Get them here ------------------------------------ February 10 Three pastors from Saint-Petersburg and region have visited a 5-day conference on Church-planting movements in Ivanovo, Russia. Pray for emergence of a Church-planting vision for the North-West region of Russia, for a team of devoted people to be brought together and for deployment of that vision in the first half of year 2007. ------------------------------------ February 1 A very suitable house is found for the Rehabilitation Center near Vyborg (30 km. toward Svetogorsk). The only problem is that it is for sale and we don't have the money. Please, pray that the Lord would lead us with this offer also. We will have more information in PDF format soon. PDF (200 kb) ------------------------------------ January 28 An annual Church sevice dedicated to Social ministry was held in Central Baptist Church in Saint-Petersburg. It was filled with singing and testimonies of those whom Christ have saved from sinking to the very bottom of life. About 6 people responded to a call for repentance and came forward to confess their sins and receive Christ as their Lord and Saviour. There was a apecial prayer of blessing on that service for a brother Dmitry, previously drug-addict himself. After being a senior leader of the largest Center in Luga for more than one year he is now being sent to Novgorod region to develop such a ministry there. ------------------------------------ January 20 Plans for a busload with second-hand clothes, food and furniture are made with our friends from Sweden for the beginning of March. ------------------------------------ January 15 A telephone call from the regional pastor has been received with a plea to send a leader for starting Rehabilitation ministry in Vladimir region (720 km. from Saint-Petersburg toward Moscow). ------------------------------------ January 2 Pastors from Novgorod iinvited our ministry to come and help them revive their rehabilitation ministry. They have only one Center, and it has not been working well, which is sad because of the great need in such work. Dima, a leader from Luga center, will move to Novgorod in February to organizw properly the Center they have and start new ones.

September-December 2006

	November 2 After a short summer "rest" Centers are back to being almost full. At this time we have about 70 rehabilitants in all the Centers combined, and a little more people can be taken above that. Pray for opening new places in Luga and in Tihvin, and for the new Center in Priozersk to be prepared for receiving people as soon as possible. ------------------------------------ October 23 The first shipment with clothes and food proceeded from Vyborg warehouse to the Centers. Some of hte clothes were also delivered to a group of believers in a prison in Leningrad region, that consists mostly of newconverts ------------------------------------ October 15 A new Center will be started in Vologodskaya region. This month a brother who up until now was leading Tihvin Center will proceed to Vologda to start nesesary preparations. This will be this fifth Center started through "Good Samaritain" ------------------------------------ September 30 We've got a part of an ald wooden building near the Baptist Church in Vyborg to collect there food and clothes for Centers. Reapirs are started. Jura Juskaev and Jenya Platonov are helping with that. ------------------------------------ September 28 A conversation with a mayor of Lesogorsk and obvious impossibility to solve certain problems led us to meet afterwards to decide on the further actions. Decision have been made to looking for other options to get a site for Rehabilitation Center. Present were: Juri Podosenov, regional coordinator of the Baptist Union; Vladimir, director over Rehabilitstion Centers; Michail, leader of Svetogorsk Baptist Church "Bethany" and Valeri, Vyborg Baptist Church representative. Please pray for another building to be found soon! ------------------------------------ September 26 A praise item: today Vladimir Ezhov, the director of the Rehabilitation work, has reported that the Center in Priozersk is getting started! Tomorrow two brothers from Luga, both ex-rehabilitants, will go to an island near Priozersk where the Lord has provided the place to start the preparations. More news soon ... And praise the Lord! More pictures > > > ------------------------------------ September 17 Jury Podosenov, ex Senior Pastor of the Central Baptist Church in Saint-Petersburg, now responsible for cooperative work of the Baptist churches on the North of Saint-Petersburg region (Vyborg, Vsevologsk, Priozersk) have visited the suggested site of Rehabilitation Center and gave his approval. On the last week of September he will be coming back to negotiate about this property with the mayor. Please pray for that!
